Abstract

The criterion for the denseness of polynomials in the space $L_p \left( {{\mathbb{R}},d {\mu }} \right)$ established by Hamburger in 1921 is extended to the spaces $L_p \left( {{\mathbb{R}},d {\mu }} \right)$, $1 ≤ p < ∞$.
