Sufficient conditions are established for the exponential-power growth at infinity of lower $Q$-homeomorphisms with respect to the $p$-modulus with $1<p<2$ in the complex plane. The results obtained in the work are applied to the study of the asymptotic behavior of homeomorphisms with finite distortion.
